This is not the average rebuild from your local parts store.  This starter is a 100% rebuild, with all new components. Why buy a lower grade rebuilt product that may have old parts that "tested OK" at rebuild, but may fail soon after installation.  Even though it may come with a replacement warranty, it's no bargain to be stranded or do the work again, even though you got a "free replacement."

About REMY:  Although the "REMY" brand is not as well recognized as "ACDelco" or "Delco Remy", it was nontheless, part of the same GM Division.  GM  sold the DelcoRemy group in 1994 to private investors, but retained the AC Delco brand name.  The new parts division was initially called ACG and later Delphi, which was subsequently sold in 1999.

• 1927, REMY & DELCO merged to form Delco Remy, a General Motors Division.
• 1974, GM streamlined & combined the AC spark plug division with Delco/Delco Remy
• 1994, Delco Remy became an independent company
• 2004, REMY trademark was added to the Delco Remy company’s brand portfolio

The REMY company of today has more history of quality associated with the Delco Remy and AC Delco brand names than the AC Delco name of today.
